I got my start in copywriting working for Bed, Bath, and Beyond, but my career really took off when I started working for Macy’s as a copywriter in their Home section. I hit the ground running, working on product copy and all digital assets. After a few years, I made the leap to the sitewide, mobile and international team. There I quickly advanced into writing copy for all homepages, emails, mobile assets and even multicultural sitelets. Not to mention, I honed my skills on legal terms through writing all exclusions for all promotions. I worked my way up to senior leadership, hiring and teaching junior-level writers to create a go-getter team that truly could accomplish anything together. I managed our workload, worked with marketing, design and other copywriting teams to ensure consistency and overall increased profits for the brand.

Emails & Homepages

Macy’s required daily homepage and emails to be refreshed every day with new content. This was a daily effort that had copy and design working together with marketing and project management in order to execute swift changes every day.

Superbowl Sitelet

As a senior copywriter in 2015 I was assigned the full Superbowl Sitelet for that year, which meant I was able to craft copy that touched every aspect of the interactive experience: from fashion to food to fundraisers in conjunction with the big game.
